Ten minutes at the counter. Which courses you play, how often, what your typical miss looks like, what you have already tried, and what would make you consider the session worth the money. Nobody hits a ball until we know what problem we are solving.

Intake gauging on the clubs you brought
Every club goes across the gauge wall: loft and lie on the machine, total weight on the scale, swingweight on the balance, butt frequency on the analyser, grip size with a caliper. You stand next to it and watch the readings go onto the sheet. This step alone resolves a fair number of complaints before the monitor is even switched on.

Baseline flight with your own equipment
Fifteen to twenty strikes with the clubs you already own, captured on the monitor. Ball speed, launch, spin, descent, carry and dispersion, averaged and recorded. Every later comparison runs against this, which is why we do not skip it even when a golfer is certain their current clubs are hopeless.

Geometry first: length, then lie
Length changes everything downstream — swingweight, frequency, delivered loft, strike location — so it gets settled first. Lie follows, read off impact tape on a board rather than off a static chart, because how you deliver the sole matters more than how tall you are standing still.

Shaft weight, then profile, then head
Weight class before bend profile, and bend profile before head model. Each change is made on its own and measured on its own. It is slower than handing over a bag of demo clubs, and it is the only way to know which variable moved the number.

Writing and signing the specification
Numbers get transcribed onto the sheet: geometry, shaft record, grip detail, flight evidence and the tolerance we will build to. It is printed, initialled by whoever wrote it, and handed to you. A component quote follows by email the same day if you want one.

Build, cure and verification
Assembly happens on Mondays, epoxy cures overnight, and every finished club is re-gauged on Tuesday. The as-built figures go onto the sheet beside the target figures. Anything outside its window comes apart and goes back on the bench before you ever see it.
Three shortcuts we refuse
- Fit from a static chart alone. Height and wrist-to-floor set a starting point for testing, not a finished answer. Two golfers of identical height can need lies four degrees apart.
- Chase one number. A carry figure that arrives with a fifty-yard dispersion cone is worse than the club you brought in. Consistency gets weighted first on every sheet.
- Test on a tired golfer. Past about ninety minutes of full swings the data stops describing your golf swing. That is why the full bag document is offered as two visits.

The document keeps working
Your sheet goes into the cabinet and into the file index under your name. We reissue copies free for five years and keep the original indefinitely. In practice it earns its keep in three situations, all of which turn up regularly.
- A club breaks. A snapped shaft or cracked hosel becomes a twenty-minute job instead of a guessing exercise, because the original build record is on file.
- You add to the set. A gap wedge bought three years later can be built to match the original nine clubs on length, lie, shaft and swingweight.
- Something drifts. Practice mats and range balls bend lies over time. A re-gauge compared against the original sheet shows exactly how far and in which direction.
A fitting without a written record is a conversation you cannot check two years later.
