No, and a meaningful share of sessions end without a purchase. The session fee buys the measurement work and the written specification. If the sheet says your existing irons need two bends and a set of midsize grips, that is what we will tell you, and the bench work costs a fraction of a new set. The document is written to be readable by any competent builder, so you are free to take it elsewhere.
It is the opposite. A beginner learning with clubs that are two inches long and four degrees upright will build a swing that compensates for both, and that compensation is far harder to unlearn later than it would have been to avoid. We are not suggesting a beginner needs an expensive set. We are suggesting the cheap set they buy should at least be the right length.
A single-club write-up is booked for an hour and usually fills it. A full bag document is three hours, which most people split across two visits. Junior sizing runs forty-five minutes. We only run two bays at once and never overbook, so the time on the calendar is time you actually get.

Builds are assembled on Mondays, cured overnight and verified Tuesday, so a session on a Wednesday with components in stock is typically ready the following Tuesday. Special-order heads or shafts add whatever the supplier takes, which we quote at the time of ordering rather than guessing at.
Growth is the argument for it, not against. A junior set that is too heavy teaches a child to heave rather than swing, and no amount of coaching fixes that while the club stays too heavy. We size to wrist-to-floor rather than age, quote a re-check date on the sheet, and extend rather than replace where the shaft allows. A re-check inside twelve months is $25.
It is a category, not a specification. That label typically bundles a shorter length, a lighter shaft and a smaller grip core into one fixed combination, and there is no reason a given golfer needs all three moved by the same amount. We spec length, shaft weight, grip core and lie separately, because they are separate decisions.

Routinely. Most bench operations do not care how old a head is, and a persimmon-era hosel is a solvable problem. The limits are practical rather than sentimental: some cast heads will not accept a bend safely, and we identify those free before touching anything.
Not for bay time. With only two bays and one golfer in each, a walk-in would mean taking time from someone who booked. Drop-off bench work, however, needs no appointment at all during floor hours; leave the clubs at the counter and we will call with a quote before we start.
